Invited schools will be expected to provide us names of students that will attend the event. According to the names and the information provided, students will be registered into the event. Only 100 students will be invited and all of them will be expected to attend the event.
Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Please pick up your name badge and your souvenir bag. The conference will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Subsequent entry or re-entry will only be permitted between speaker talks or during breaks.

The conference schedule can be viewed online. The program, with speaker biographies and other TEDxYouth@Upanga information will be given to you upon arrival.
Food & Drink
A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day, along with a complimentary buffet lunch at 12:30 p.m.
Cameras, Phones & Laptops
Cell phones must be off or on silent during the talks and performances and no recording devices or flash photography will be permitted. We encourage you to join the conversation on social media using #TEDxYouth@Upanga, but please only post during the breaks. Wi-fi will be available at the event. Choose the network, TEDxUpanga and use the password, ‘breakingboundaries’.
What to Wear
Wear what makes you feel comfortable and expresses your personality! Nothing formal needs to be worn, but look smart and ready to interact with different people. They say, the first impression is all that counts.
What to Expect
Throughout the day you will be meeting others within the TEDxYouth@Upanga community who are there for the same reason, to be inspired. TEDxYouth@Upanga will take place in Upanga, one of the three administrative districts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. TEDxYouth@Upanga will take place at the International School of Tanganyika, Elementary Campus.
